Marla McGee

"Rotary is a way of life for me and the values of Rotary resonated with me from the moment I joined the organization as they are how I was raised. I first joined the Cypress Rotary Club in 2002 and served as their President in 2007 – 2008. My job assignment changed in 2009 and I moved to the Orange Rotary Club. The following year I was saddened to have to resign due to a change in job status. In 2014 I started my own business and immediately joined the Fountain Valley Rotary Club. I took the reigns as President on July 1, 2016. Last year, we became a 501 © 3 nonprofit association and held our first large fundraiser, The Fountain Valley Rotary Ed Arnold Volunteer of the Year Service Awards. Our intent is to hold this event on an annual basis to raise funds to allow us to continue our work to support our schools and many other charitable endeavors which will include, our monthly Most Improved Student Awards, annual Teacher of the Year and Every Student Succeeding breakfasts and serving Thursday night dinner at Thomas House Shelter several times in the coming months. Rotary continues to be a positive force in our community and the world. I am happy to be a part of it."
